About Me
My name is Christian Anthony Gonzalez. I was blessed to have been raised in a devout Catholic home. While I always felt that Christ was at the center of my life, it was not always so. Despite going to church every Sunday and receiving a Catholic education, I was always going through the motions when it came to prayer and my actions. I thought I had a good support network through my peers in my youth group but it enabled me to become comfortable in my faith without growing.
I ended up going to Seton Hall University. I studied history and the fact that the school was Catholic was a perk in the background. Later, it became the most important aspect of my college experience and my growth as a man in the real world.
Giving my testimony at a high school retreat (I felt that my faith was more of a social circle than a journey change to God's kingdom)
My wife and I on the day of our engagement
(I proposed immedietly after mass at Seton Hall surrounded by friends, clergy, and supportive professors)
It was not until I discovered the Liturgy of the Hours through campus ministry and the priest community at Seton Hall that I realized the importance of having a disciplined prayer life. For the first time I realized the historicity of our faith and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Collecting prayer books became a passion of mine. I was also able to find a good network of friends who were trying to uplift each other and grow in the faith together. I found profound answers to many of the Church's teachings that I, at one point, found questionable or deniable.
I was also introduced to different rites of the Catholic Church. The meaning of "universial" in the word Catholic was made very clear at that point. I fell in love with the timelessness and the pomp and circumstance of the Tradition Latin Mass. A completely other expression of our faith that is encompassed by psalms and poetic prayers made itself known in the Byzantine Church

We wed on June 13th 2020 (the feast of Saint Anthony) we had a Novus Ordo Roman Catholic ceremony in a Byzantine Catholic parish.
It is such a fortunate thing to fall in love with your best friend, it is even better to have them forever to work on brining our souls closer to God. Before we ever met each other, my wife Kiersten and I had felt frustrated with dating and had decided to wait for God to bring our spouses to us. We were both praying to St. Anthony for a partner. She and I grew up with strong devotions to him and were so much in awe with the miracles he performed in our lives.
Together, we try to live as moral examples to each other and our friends. We make it a point to pray with each other every single day and make God the center of our work and life.
Kiersten is definitely the reason I am as close to God as I am now. I love her so much
Today, I teach history at a Catholic high school. I am blessed to be able to pray with the students and go to mass at work! Over the years of discovering my purpose in God's family I have felt the need to minister to people. I have always felt that prayer is a great way to connect to God and our brothers and sisters in Christ. I am proud to have been able to share so many resources through my YouTube channel.
